They just don’t stop amazing us, the smartphones. With each and every model, the companies are trying to woo the customers. You have already seen under-screen fingerprint scanner, foldable display, in-display cameras, and many.
ZTE has decided to come up with an impressive feature this time. We are not specifying it as a unique feature. While everybody is busy trying to avoid the notch by implementing a pop-up selfie camera, ZTE or rather Nubia has sorted it out in an entirely different manner. They have just omitted the dedicated selfie camera.
Nubia Z20 Smartphone with No Dedicated Selfie Shooter Goes Official
Two displays on one device, it’s not a completely new feature. We have seen it coming out in different shapes from various companies. Even Nubia has done it earlier with their Nubia X smartphone.
Let’s put the dual screens for the time being and check what the other features are. The phone flaunts a 6.42-inch full HD+ AMOLED display (1080x 2340 pixels) on the front with no notches. The lack of a dedicated selfie camera allowed the company to have the maximum screen real estate.
It has 401 PPI pixel density and 91.94 percent screen-o-body ratio. In order to power up the graphics, the company has included DC dimming feature too.
Underneath the hood, the device packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset coupled with up to 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB internal storage (UFS 3.0). The specs challenge those with the mainstream companies.
As for the optics, Nubia Z20 has only one camera setup on the back. It houses three sensors. The main sensor measures 48-megapixel. It also has a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. In order to achieve the maximum screen to body ratio, they have given up on the selfie shooter.
It has all the necessary sensors and a 4000 mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging.
Now let’s address the elephant in the room, shall we? The second screen measures 5.1-inch with an HD+ resolution. You can turn the phone over to the second screen when it’s time to take selfies. Both the screens carry in-display fingerprint scanners so that you won’t have any issues using it despite which side you touch.
ZTE has released the device nowhere but in China. The price pattern goes like CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 35,200) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration, while its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 37,200). There is also the top-of-the-line 8GB RAM + 512GB storage option that carries a price tag of CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs. 42,200).
