Xiaomi is having a great year in India, with Redmi Note 4, being the best selling device online. All their devices including Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, and Redmi 4A are performing well in the market.
Despite their current devices are being sold like hotcakes, they are going to announce the new Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, and Redmi 5 Plus soon.
Redmi 5A Official Poster Leaked Online
You might have already seen many leaks and render images of the Redmi 5 series smartphones. The latest is from Ronald Quandt, who is a famous tipster. Going by what he revealed, the Redmi 5A will come up with 16 GB of onboard storage. Moreover, he expects the company to make the phone available in four different colors; Rose, Gold, Black, and Grey. Redmi 5, on the other hand, might hit the market with both 16 and 32 GB storage options.
Recently, GizmoChina has spotted a new official poster of Redmi 5A. Although the image didn’t reveal anything about the underneath-specs, it clearly showed how the device might look like. As you can see above, the image of Redmi 5A on the leaked poster looks a lot similar to the predecessor. The one major difference is it will sport an all-body metal design instead of plastic on 4A.

The leaked image shows two antenna lines; on the top and the bottom. The poster hints at having a long-lasting battery on Redmi 5A, which has always been the unique selling point of the series. According to the poster, the upcoming device can offer a standby time of about 8 days! For the same reason, it might carry some extra weight.
The specifications already came out online via TENNA and it looked legit. Redmi 5A will most probably feature a 5-inch display. Underneath the hood, the processor they opt for is Snapdragon 425. Given the pricing of the device, we can’t expect anything more.
There is a chance for Xiaomi to launch two variants of the device; one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage and the second with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. When it comes to the platform, MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat seems to be the best option they can bring to the table.
Xiaomi might launch the Redmi 5 series smartphones by the end of this year or the beginning of the next. We have a lot to expect from them this time; including dual-cameras and display with 18:9 aspect ratios.
