Xiaomi has announced its latest edition of flagship smartphones in its home country China. The newly launched smartphones from the tech giant are the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Pro Ultra. This new trio of smartphones from the brand feature flagship-grade internals, triple camera optics, and high refresh rate displays.
The company brings these smartphones as an upgrade to its previously launched Xiaomi 12 handsets last year. The design of these latest smartphones has similar aesthetics to the previous generation flagships.

Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro Specifications
The Xiaomi 12S comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. On the other hand, the 12S Pro version sports a larger 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display. And both devices have a 120Hz high refresh rate. The display on these latest pieces of tech from Mi features 1 billion colors. 1500 nits of peak brightness, and gets the Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Under the hood, the regular 12S comes with a new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Meanwhile, the brand has brought two variants for the 12S Pro which include the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ variants. The storage on the Pro variant comes with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
In terms of the optics, the Xiaomi 12S comes with a triple camera setup of 50MP + 13MP + 5MP sensors and a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. On the contrary, the 12S Pro with its Leica-powered triple camera setup brings a trio of 50-megapixel sensors. Besides, the Pro variant comes with the same 32-megapixel front-facing sensor for capturing selfies and making video calls.
The connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB Type C 2.0 port. The sensors array of the duo features an under-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and color spectrum.
The battery pack on the regular 12S comes with a 4500mAh cell supporting 67W fast charging. Whereas, the Pro variant with a 4600mAh cell supports 120W fast charging.

The Xiaomi 12S and 12 Pro handsets flaunt in three different color variants – Black, White, and Green. The starting prices of the 12S and 12S Pro are CNY 3,999 or Rs. 47,194 approx. and CNY 4,699 or Rs. 55,408 approx. respectively in China.
