Vivo Y21 launched at a mid-range pricing segment in India with dual cameras and a big battery cell. The brand has announced a device in the same Y-series of smartphones last month dubbed as Vivo Y72.
Although the Y72 was a 5G device with a Snapdragon processor, the Y21 is a 4G device with a MediaTek processor at the same pricing.
The device comes with a water-drop notch on the display and the back features a dual-camera setup in a lifted-up module with a square cut-out.
Most of the smartphones from Vivo are offline-centric devices and Y21 is no exception. Even though they get most of the sales from the offline market, Vivo makes their devices available on online platforms as well for sale.
Vivo Y21 Specifications
The newly announced Y21 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 20:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display comes with a regular 60Hz panel, a screen-to-body ratio of 81.8%, and a pixel density of 270PPI.
Under the hood, the Octa-core 12nm Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 SoC powers the device along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
The storage provided on the Y21 is 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage with storage expandability of up to 512GB using an external SD card.
Also, the device comes with a dual-camera module featuring a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
The connectivity options on the Y21 include Dual Sim 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, FM Radio, USB Type-C port, and USB OTG support.
The sensors array of the device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Also, the battery pack provided is a 5,000mAh cell that supports 18W fast charging.
Price and Availablity
The Vivo V21 comes at a price tag of Rs. 15,490 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB variant. Besides, Vivo has announced the 4GB and 64GB base variant to come for sale soon in India but there are no price details for the particular variant.
The color options are Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue versions. The device is available for purchase from Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, TataCliq, and other leading retail stores in India.
