Vivo has unveiled its first foldable smartphone named Vivo X Fold; which features two displays on the outer side and a foldable inner display.
The devices have officially launched in China, and there’s no information on the global and Indian launches. Vivo has announced the X Note and Vivo X Pad; being the first Android tablet from the brand.
However, the Vivo X Note comes as the same device that features the same specifications and camera setup; just like the X Fold but doesn’t boast a foldable screen. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X Fold Specifications, Features, and Pricing.
Vivo X Fold Specifications
The Vivo X Fold sports an 8.03-inch 2K+ Samsung E5 folding display with a screen resolution of 1,916×2,160 pixels. The display supports an aspect ratio of 4:3.55, a high refresh rate of 120Hz, and features ultra-tough glass (UTG) protection.
Besides, the outer display arrives with a 6.53-inch Samsung E5 panel with a screen resolution of 1,080×2,520 pixels and supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset coupled with Adreno 730 GPU powers the smartphone. The X Fold comes with a storage of 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and an onboard storage of up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Vivo X Fold runs on Origin OS based on the Android 12 operating system and supports dual sims along with 5G connectivity.
The camera module on the Vivo X Fold comes with a quad-camera setup housing; a 50-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f/1.75 and supports optical image stabilization (OIS).
The secondary sensor on the X Fold comes with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor; a tertiary 12-megapixel portrait shooter and an 8-megapixel periscope-style super-telephoto sensor that supports OIS. The front-facing camera comes with a 16-megapixel on both displays with an f/2.45 aperture.
The connectivity options on the X Fold include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2; GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
Moreover, the sensors array features two in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
Besides, the Vivo X Fold comes with a battery pack of 4,600mAh dual-cell that supports 66W fast wired charging and a 50W Wireless Flash Charging.
Price and Availability
The Vivo X Fold starts at CNY 8,999 or Rs. 1,07,200 approx. with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage and the 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage costs CNY 9,999 or Rs. 1,19,100 approx.
Moreover, the X Fold flaunts three distinctive color options Black, Blue, and Grey. The first foldable handset from Vivo will go on sale starting on April 22 in China.
