Vivo is not alien to a smartphone enthusiast today. They started off as a brand that focuses on selfie cameras and music. Moreover, the company used to focus on offline customers only. Guess what? The things have taken a U-turn already.
In case you are naive, Vivo U20 has gone official recently with some sturdy specifications. Even though it has some negatives (like the absence of USB Type-C port), the device is surely a worthy contender to the already existing offerings in the market.
Vivo V17 has Gone Live with Quad Rear Camera Setup
The latest from the Chinese OEM is V17. Without further ado, let’s have a look at the specifications.
The first thing you notice on Vivo V17 is its display. Flaunting a 6.38-inch full HD+ display with a 90-percent screen-to-body ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Apart from functioning as a screen, a portion of the bottom doubles as the fingerprint scanner. You know! The on-screen fingerprint sensor is trending these days.
Under the hood, the processing power emerges out from Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core chipset coupled with 8 GB RAM. You must know that it’s the same phone with a different name, which went official in the Philippines recently.
One of the main highlights of Vivo V17 is its diamond-shaped quad rear camera setup. It houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 108-degree field of view. Moreover, you will also get a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Upfront, there is a 32-MP camera for selfies.
The internal storage is 128 GB. But, you can always expand it up to 256 GB using an external SD card. The 4500-mAh battery has support for dual fast charging. And, it supports almost all the connectivity options a typical smartphone does. What V20 lacks, USB Type-C port has found its way to this device.
It’s been more than two months since Android 10 had officially gone out. However, you will only get FuntouchOS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie with V17. The India launch hasn’t happened yet, only the Russian event.
It comes in only one variant (128 GB/ 8 GB) at a price of RUB 22,990 (roughly Rs. 25,900). In Russia, you can buy it in two different colors; Cloudy Blue and Blue Fog. What’s exciting is those who book before December 5 will receive Vivo Y11.
