Vivo launches the S12 series featuring S12 and S12 Pro smartphones powered by MediaTek Dimensity processors along with up to 12GB of RAM. The main highlighting factor of the smartphones include; the dual selfie cameras on the front and both the Pro and regular variants have many similarities.
Except for the bigger curved screen and larger battery on the Pro version; which the regular variant doesn’t possess, there aren’t many differences to point. Both the newly announced smartphones run on the Android 11 operating system with Vivo’s proprietary Origin OS Ocean skin on top.
Vivo S12 Pro Specifications
The S12 Pro handset from Vivo sports a 6.56-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels. The display comes with a 91.39 percent screen-to-body ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate; a 240Hz sampling rate, a 91.39 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a pixel density of 398PPI.
Underneath, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC powers the smartphone; with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a UFS 3.1 storage of 256GB.
The camera module on the S12 Pro is a triple camera setup featuring a 108-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.9 wide-angle aperture lens. Besides, the secondary sensor is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and the tertiary sensor is a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture.

In contrast, the Pro variant starts at CNY 3,399 or Rs.40,200 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB. Besides, the 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at CNY 3,699 or Rs. 43,700 approx. in China. The smartphones will go on sale from December 30 on Vivo’s official website and stores across China.
