Vaio is a well-known laptop brand in the market. For unknown reasons, the manufacturers have backed out of the business for a while. But now they are back in the Indian market with a duo of the SE and SX series in partnership with “Nexstgo”. Speaking about the partnership, Alex Chung, CEO, Nexstgo commented:
Vaio in collaboration with Nexstgo intends to reach out to the people of India once again, and with this latest launch of Vaio SE14 and SX14 we are taking our first step in catering to the customers of the country.
Sony has broken off the partnership and licensing with Vaio and stopped bringing its laptops to India. The newly announced laptops from Vaio come with high-end specifications and a slim design profile. The SX and SE series is featuring the new 11th Gen Intel Core chipsets for processing the tasks on the notebooks.
Vaio SX14 Specifications
The SX 14 notebook features a 4K resolution 14-inch display with a carbon LCD cover design. Intel’s 11th gen Core i7 processor powers the laptop for its daily tasks. The laptop even keeps a consideration for media consumption and features Dolby Audio certified speakers. The ports on the SX14 version come with Bluetooth 5.0, one USB-C port, one full-size HDMI port, Thunderbolt 4 ports, a VGA connector, and an Ethernet port.
Moreover, the SX14 laptop has a unique “fine-tuned keycap tooling” that reduces typing noise for noise-free key travel. The device runs on the latest Windows 10 Pro operating system and has a storage option of up to 1TB.
The laptop is expected to offer a battery life of up to 7.5 hours on a full charge. The variant even features a SuperFin cooling technology. This version is an expensive model from the announced two laptops from Vaio.
Vaio SE14 Specifications
The SE14 variant of the notebook features a 14-inch Full HD+ display with metal and plastic build. The design of the laptop evokes a minimal sense of aesthetics. The Intel 11th Gen i5 Processor powers the device with storage of up to 1TB.
The laptop features a 1080p IR webcam on the upper bezel of the display similar to SX14. Furthermore, the device has a fingerprint sensor making the SE14 even more secure.
The keyboard setup on the SE14 variant is quite normal with backlit keys for extra visibility at dark times. The device runs on the Windows 10 Home version of the operating system unlike the Pro version of the SX14 variant. The I/O ports of the SE14 feature an HDMI port, USB 3.2 ports, a Type-C port, Thunderbolt 4 ports, a Micro SD card reader, a headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Price and Availability
Vaio SX14 model with Intel 11th Gen i7 Processor starts for Rs. Rs 1,72,990. The SE14 model with Intel 11th Gen i5 Processor comes for a price tag of Rs. 88,990. The sales for these new laptops commence from May 16 in India. The devices will be available for sale on the e-commerce platform Amazon India.
