Smartphones in India 2015: Losers and Winners

Yu is another brand that was born and ruled (instantly). Headed by Rahul Sharma, Yu came up with three smartphones this year – Yu Yureka, Yu Yureka Plus and Yu Yuphoria. Talking about its first launch, Yu Yureka is the ultra-budget smartphone with a 5.5-inch display and an Octa Core processor for lag-free performance. The phone was launched through flash sales on Amazon with some impressive specs including a 13 megapixels shooter, 2GB RAM, 2500mAh battery and more. The phone went out of stock in a few seconds. But if we compare with other smartphones launched recently with the same price, the phone lacks in display resolution (720p) + built quality. The back panel of the phone is not up to the mark. It is thin and very plasticky. Heating issues were also cropped up. It is a decent buy, in short.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is another hit phone of 2015. It has some decent specifications at the right price. In case, if you are searching for a budget smartphone, pick this one first. Equipped with a 64-bit Quad-core processor, the phone is fast and smooth. It is backed by a 2200 mAh battery for a prolonged usage. Talking about its camera, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime comes with an 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. The design of the device is simple and plain.
