Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition launched today in the budget smartphone category in India. The newly announced smartphone is the same device that launched last year as Galaxy M21 with slight changes.
The design of the smartphone slightly differs in comparison with the original variant and has two new colors. The front display has a water-drop notch for the front camera and the back design has distinctive lines running along the sides diagonally.
Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition Specifications
The Galaxy M21 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. An octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU powers the device similar to the M21 of 2020 variant.
The storage provided by the M21 is up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage with an expandable option of up to 512GB with an SD card.
The camera module on the M21 2021 edition is a triple camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor; an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 20-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
Besides, the rear main camera uses Samsung’s ISOCELL GM2; which is an upgrade from the predecessor. Also, the device runs on the Android 11 operating system; with OneUI skin on top.
The connectivity options of the Galaxy M21 2021 are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS; USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors array of the smartphone includes an accelerometer; ambient light, gyro, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The fingerprint sensor on the device is provided on the back. The battery capacity of the smartphone is a 6000mAh cell; with support for fast charging at 18W.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition starts at a price tag of Rs. 12,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant starts at Rs. 14,499. Also, the color options provided by Samsung are; Arctic Blue and Charcoal Black colors.
The device is scheduled for sale from 12 AM on July 26; on the occasion of the Prime Day sale on Amazon India. Apart from that, the device will be available on Samsung’s website.
