Samsung has finally broken the ice and introduced their all-new M Series smartphones in India. The South Korean multinational company faced a setback in the budget segment after a few Chinese manufacturers have entered the market.
Even before the launch, it became evident that they want to capture the budget segment with the new models. We have to wait and watch whether or not their objective turns true.
Samsung Galaxy M20 and M10 Smartphone Launched
In case you are a gadget freak who checks out the industry, you might have noticed Samsung teasing ‘M’ series for quite some time. Given the popularity of the budget segment, they have launched the devices in India first.
Both M20 and M10 sports Infinity-V Display panels with a rear dual camera setup and face unlock feature. You will have to disappoint yourself if you are keen to take up the latest Android version. The company has settled for a custom skin on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Unlike many competing models, M series devices support Widevine L1 to enable HD streaming through Netflix and Amazon Prime.
The high-end model M20 carries two nano-SIM card slots. It has a 6.3-inch full HD+ Infinity-V Display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, you will enjoy the performance from Exynos 7904 chipset coupled with 3/4 GB RAM and Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.
The dual camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and another 5-megapixel ultra wide sensor of f/2.0 aperture. The front camera houses an 8 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
You are free to choose from 32/64 GB internal storage and 3/4 GB RAM. Moreover, memory expansion up to 512 GB is available as well. The 5000 mAh battery support fast charging via USB Type-C port.
The M20 is available for sale at Rs. 10990 for 3/32 GB variant and 12990 for 4/64 GB variant.
On the other hand, the low-end model, M10 features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Exynos 7870 powers the performance coupled with 2/3 GB RAM.
It also has a dual camera setup, which includes a 13 MP and a 5 MP sensor. On the contrary to the one on M20, here they have settled for a 5 MP front camera.
M10 is available in 2/16 GB and 3/32 GB variants with support for memory expansion up to 512 GB. It has a 3400 mAh battery.
