Samsung Galaxy F02s and F12, the newly launched budget smartphones from the Korean manufacturer in India. The F-series devices from Samsung mainly focus on budget level specifications and specifications. Besides, the series has a very similar design and internals with the M-series. Although, the Galaxy F02s is a rebranded Galaxy M02s and the Galaxy F12 is a rebranded variant of the Galaxy M12.
The devices at a budget price point offer a huge battery capacity and displays from Samsung. Unlike, the other mid-range smartphones from Samsung, these newly launched devices don’t have AMOLED screens. The displays presented on the F02s or F12 are not 1080p panels but are HD+ 720p screens. You can find different options from other Chinese brands that offer good specifications at better pricing.

Samsung Galaxy F02s sports a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V Display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio. An Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Chipset powers the device, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with SD card expansion up to 1TB. The smartphone supports 4G Dual-Sim and runs on Android 10 with One UI skin on top.
The camera set up present on the rear is a triple rear lens setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. An octa-core Exynos 850 Chipset powers the Galaxy F12. The storage is 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Besides, the supports 4G Dual-Sim and runs on Android 10 with One UI skin on top.
The camera module is a quad-lens rear setup featuring a 48-megapixel Samsung GM2 primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens, along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens. A 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
The device has a battery capacity of 6,000mAh cell that features a 15W fast charging bundled along with the box. Although, the company claims that the battery will last well over a day. The other connectivity options are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Besides, you can find a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side along with the power button.
Price and Availability
Samsung Galaxy F02s starts with a price tag of Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option. The color options that the device flaunts are Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, and Diamond White.
The Galaxy F12 has two variants that are 4GB RAM, 64GB storage for Rs. 10,999, and 4GB RAM and 128GB storage for Rs. 11,999. The color options are Celestial Black, Sea Green, and Sky Blue colors.
The Galaxy F02s will go on sale from 12 pm on April 9 and the Galaxy F12 will go on sale from 12 pm on April 12. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart, Samsung.com, and other retail stores in India.
