Samsung has announced two new 5G headsets – Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A33 5G in India. These new handsets from the Korean brand in the A-series feature an AMOLED display with high refresh rates and quad cameras on the rear.
The design of this new duo has similarities with the previous-gen A-series that come with a camera setup that protrudes out of the back panel. Let’s have a closer look at the new A73 and A33 smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G Specifications
The Galaxy A73 sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 800 nits, and gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G processor coupled with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB internal storage. The handset supports dual sims and runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 11.
The quad-camera setup on the Galaxy A73 5G houses a 108-megapixel primary sensor that supports optical image stabilization (OIS). A secondary 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a duo of 5-megapixel sensors that work as a macro and depth shooter. The front-facing camera on the Galaxy A73 5G boasts a 32-megapixel for selfies and video calling.
The rear cameras additionally support Object Eraser for removing objects from images, AI Photo Remaster to retouch old photos, and Portrait Mode for enhanced profile photos. The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. The display supports a 90Hz high refresh rate; a pixel density of 411 PPI, and gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection.
Under the hood, octa-core Exynos 1280 chipset coupled with up to 8 GB of RAM; and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The handset supports dual sims and runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 11.
The camera module on the Galaxy A33 comes with a quad-camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor with OIS; along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter as well as a 5-megapixel macro shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Besides, the front-facing camera on the Galaxy A33 smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

The prices of the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A33 5G have not been revealed yet by the brand. Nonetheless, the company has provided information regarding the color options of both handsets.
