Samsung has announced a couple of smartphones in the Samsung Galaxy A-series lineup. The newly announced devices are Galaxy A52 and A72. The A-series smartphone is a premium mid-range device from a Korean manufacturer. The newly launched smartphones are feature-packed and come with 4G and 5G supporting chipsets under-the-hood.
The competition has grown a lot as many Chinese brands with the same set of specifications set the price at affordable prices. The A-series compared to other Chinese smartphones has high prices. You can find a cheaper device that includes the same set of specifications from A52 and A72. But, Samsung provides a more premium and cleaner experience compared to other brands.
Samsung Galaxy A52 Specifications
The Galaxy A52 sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with 90Hz refresh rate support. A Snapdragon 720G chipset powers the 4G handset and the 5G handset gets the Snapdragon 750G instead.
The storage side of the A52 features 128/256 GB of internal storage and 4/6/8 GB of RAM on the device. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack that supports Dolby Atmos on the bottom speakers as well.
The Quad-camera setup of the A52 features a primary 64-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. A 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro lens with an aperture of f/2.4.
The main camera has Optical Image stabilization support and can shoot videos up to 4K 30fps. The battery capacity of the Galaxy A52 is 4,500mAh that has support for fast charging with a 25W adapter but the in-box adapter is a 15W charger.

The Samsung Galaxy A72 sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with 90Hz refresh rate support. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G Chipset powers the device with Adreno GPU.
The storage variants for the A72 are up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Besides, the smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a set of stereo speakers that supports Dolby Atmos.
The Quad-camera setup of the A52 features a primary 64-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. An 8-megapixel 3x telephoto lens and a 5-megapixel macro lens with an aperture of f/2.4.
The front-facing camera is a 32-megapixel similar to A52 for selfies and video calls. The device has an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The battery capacity of the A72 is a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support up to a 25W charging adapter.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A52 comes for a price tag of EUR 349 (roughly Rs 29,600), the A52 5G is priced at EUR 429 (roughly Rs 31,000). The Galaxy A72 comes for a price tag of EUR 449 (roughly Rs 32,500).
Besides, the color schemes of these A-series duo are Black, Violet, White, and Blue. Moreover, devices are globally available for sale. There is still no official information for the availability of these devices in India.
