Samsung Galaxy A50 Leaked Image Reveals Triple Rear Cameras and Infinity-U Display

Abhishek Jariwala • Updated February 18, 2019 • 3 min read •

Samsung is about to release its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S10 lineup. We have already reported that the Galaxy S10 lineup comes with Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10 Plus. Also, Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M10 and M20 in India.

Now, the company seems to be releasing a new mid-range smartphone. As per a leaked image, Samsung plans to release the Galaxy A50 soon. This smartphone will become the latest smartphone from Samsung in their upper mid-range Galaxy A series. Apart from that, Samsung’s Galaxy A series will have the Galaxy A10 and the Galaxy A30.

Now, PriceKart seems to have received a render of the upcoming Galaxy A50. From the image, it is clear that the smartphone will come with a notch. It is also quite clear that this notch is similar to the waterdrop notch seen on OnePlus 6T and other smartphones. In other words, this smartphone will come with the Infinity-U display from Samsung.

Also, this Infinity-U display has a mono selfie camera of 25 MP. The display size on the Galaxy A50 is measured to be 6.4-inches. Looking at the bottom part of the display, we can also notice an in-display fingerprint scanner. This means that Samsung will do away with the physical fingerprint scanner from their Galaxy A lineup too. Because we are already aware that the Galaxy S10 lineup will have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Moving to the back, we can notice a triple camera setup. This triple camera set up on the rear will have a 25 MP primary sensor, 5MP secondary sensor and an 8MP tertiary sensor. Below the camera setup, there is a flash module for the cameras. At the bottom, there is a USB Type-C port which might support Fast Charging as well.

Coming to the rumored specifications, Galaxy A50 is expected to be powered by octa-core Exynos 9610 SoC. Galaxy A50 is also expected to have 4/6GB RAM options.

We can also expect to have 64GB and 128GB of internal storage options on this device. Samsung Galaxy A50 should also run Android  9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Also, it is expected that the Galaxy A50 will have a 4000 mAh battery capacity.

As for the color options, Galaxy A50 should come in three colors: Black, White, and Blue. Samsung Galaxy A50 is expected to be launched in March along with the other smartphones in its Galaxy A lineup.
