Samsung Galaxy A22 5G and 4G get an official launch for the low-budget category of the smartphone market. The Korean manufacturer has introduced the duo of smartphones at the European markets. Both smartphones have a similar set of specifications and design aspects but with few minor differences. The 5G model features a triple-camera setup whereas the 4G handset comes with a quad-camera setup.
Furthermore, the 5G handset when compared to the 4G model features a slightly larger display and higher RAM capacity. Moreover, the battery capacity of both handsets is similar to a 5000mAh cell. The Galaxy A-series smartphones are known for their; different color options and unique design. Both smartphones are debuted in the Netherlands for the first time.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G Specifications
The device sports a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a notch for the selfie camera. Under the hood, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset powers the smartphone. The storage options of the smartphone are up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage with the support of an SD card slot for expandability. The Galaxy A22 5G runs on the Android operating system with Samsung’s very own One UI skin on top.
The rear camera module is a triple-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens. A secondary 5-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens; and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling purposes. The camera interface of the smartphone has different modes and filters embedded within the OS.
Furthermore, the connectivity options of the Galaxy A22 are a 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and the sensors onboard are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The fingerprint sensor of the smartphone is embedded with the power button on the side. The battery capacity of the smartphone is 5,000mAh which supports up to 15W of fast charging with the provided adapter in the box.

The storage options of the smartphone are up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage with the support of an SD card slot for expandability. The Galaxy A22 4G runs on the Android operating system with Samsung’s very own One UI skin on top.

A secondary 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 aperture, a tertiary 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 lens. The front-facing camera is of a 13-megapixel shooter with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling.

Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G variants start for EUR 229 or Rs. 20,300 for 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Whereas the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model comes at EUR 249 or Rs. 22,100. The prices of the higher variants with 6/8 GB of RAM and 128GB storage have not been revealed yet. Besides, The color options for the 5G variant are Grey, Mint, Violet, and White colors.
The Galaxy A22 4G variant comes in three different storage variants, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The color options for the 4G variant are Black, Mint, Violet, and White colors. The A22 5G will go on sale from July in the European markets; there is no information on the 4G variants availability and Global launch of these devices.
