Smartphones aren’t a luxurious gadget today because one can buy a unit without spending a fortune. Of course, Chinese manufacturers have played a vital role in bringing down the price of handsets. That’s what caused the multinational brands to jump on the bandwagon.
A few days ago on 12 December 2019, we published a story about Nokia C1, a budget offering from the Finnish company. Guess what! Samsung has quietly unveiled another device for budget-concerned consumers. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy A01, its release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Samsung Galaxy A01 Goes Live with 3000 mAh Battery and 5-MP Selfie Camera
You know Samsung holds the pole position in the global smartphone market, don’t you? Despite topping the list, they didn’t have a good track record when it comes to the budget devices. But, the M series did change the whole scenario and the software optimizations accelerated the popularity.
In case you are naive, there’s an intermediary ‘A’ lineup between flagships and budget offerings. Before they include something on the top-of-the-line phones, they will try it out on these. There are a few features that made their way to A series first and then to S and Note.
Today, the company has silently unveiled a smartphone, Galaxy A01. In spite of bearing A in the name, it doesn’t have superior specifications. It looks like the OEM is trying to woo the first time smartphone buyers to choose their product.
In terms of specifications, it flaunts a 5.7″ HD Infinity V display. Underneath the hood, you can find an octa-core (Quad 1.95 GHz + Quad 1.45 GHz) SoC coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. And, you can expand it using an external SD card.
As for the optics, the handset has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter with f/2.4 aperture. Moreover, the selfie camera measures 5-MP in resolution with an aperture of f/2.0.
The battery capacity is 3000 mAh and we don’t think it will have support for fast charging. Nevertheless, you will have dual SIM slots and almost all the typical sensors. You need to bear in mind that the phone hasn’t gone live yet. Neither has the company revealed the whole specifications as well.
That means, if you want to buy this, you will have to wait for the official announcement first. Maybe, they will take a few more days to bring it to the market for sales.
