Reliance has finally brought the JioBook laptop for sale in the country for regular consumers on their Digital website. The company announced its first laptop for Indian consumers earlier at the India Mobile Congress. However, the laptop was made available before the official sale exclusively for the resellers at Government e-Marketplace.
This time around, the full specifications of this newly announced budget laptop leaked while it was on sale for resellers. The revealed specifications of the JioBook featured a 5000mAh battery and a Snapdragon chipset.
The tech-giants Qualcomm and Microsoft have collaborated to bring the budget-friendly product. Reliance previously collaborated with Google on the JioPhone, which featured a lightweight operating system and was affordable at cost.

The device runs on JioOS, the first ever product to use the software with an optimized and lightweight user interface.

Jio laptop users must activate their Jio sim card to experience cellular data. The sim card activation process requires the user to visit the nearest Jio store. The personnel will direct you to show your ICCID or SIM number and ask for KYC. Lastly, you can select your preferred plans to browse the internet through your cellular data.

The JioBook laptop from Reliance costs Rs. 15,799 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. Users can expand the laptop’s storage to up to 128GB with the help of an SD card in the provided card slot.
