Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones featuring fast charging support and high-refresh-rate displays in China. The new Note 12 series from Redmi comprises of the Note 12 Pro, 12 Pro+, The Note 12 5G, and 12 Pro Explorer Edition.
All the handsets in the newly announced series feature the MediaTek Dimensity chipsets, Triple Cameras, and OLED displays. Let’s take a closer look at the full features, specifications, pricing, and availability of the latest Redmi Note 12 Pro series.
Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition Specifications
The Explorer Edition of the Note 12 Pro series features a 6.67 inches Full HD OLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display of the handset supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 900 nits.
Under the hood, the Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset paired with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU powers the handset. The device runs on the Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 skin on top.
The camera module of the Explorer Edition features a 200-megapixel wide sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, and OIS. The secondary sensor comes with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor featuring an aperture of f/1.9 and 119˚ field of view.
Besides, the tertiary sensor of the device comes with a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Moreover, the front-facing camera on the handset comes with a 16-megapixel wide sensor for selfies and video calling.

Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ Specifications
Both the Pro and Plus Editions of Note 12 feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution. The display of the devices features an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+.
Under the hood, the devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC paired with Mali-G68 GPU. The devices run on the Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 skin on top.
The camera setup of the Pro variant comes with a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and OIS. On contrary, the Pro+ version of Note 12 comes with a 200MP primary sensor.
The secondary ultra-wide sensor is an 8-megapixel shooter and the tertiary 2-megapixel macro sensor completes the setup. The front-facing camera of the Pro variant features a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
The connectivity features on both devices include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS. A 3.5mm headphone jack, NFS, and a USB Type-C port. The battery pack on both smartphones features a 5000mAh cell that supports 67W and 120W fast charging respectively.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition costs RMB 1,699 (approx Rs 19,380) for the 6GB/128GB version. The top-end-variant of the device goes for up to RMB 2,099 (approx Rs 23,900) for the 12GB/256GB model.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ costs RMB 2099 (approx Rs 23,900) for the 8GB/256GB version and RMB 2299 (around Rs 26,200) for the 12GB/256GB model. The color palette provided for the series is Midnight Dark, Time Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Shallow Dream Galaxy.
