Xiaomi has launched their newest mid-ranger Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G in China. The new Redmi variant announced by Xiaomi for the Chinese market is different from the Indian variant. The Indian variant of the Note 10 series feature the Qualcomm chipsets. Whereas, the Chinese variants feature the MediaTek Dimensity chipsets that mostly feature 5G bands.
On the other hand, the Indian variants have AMOLED displays on the handsets. The Chinese variants feature an LCD instead which gives a slight edge to the Indian variant.
Although, you can find the 5G connectivity available on them the Indian version doesn’t come with a 5G chipset. Apart from that, you get a 33W fast charging on the Qualcomm variant. Whereas the MediaTek variant features a higher 67W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G Specifications
The Note 10 Pro 5G flaunts a 6.6-inch full-HD+ LCD with a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and supports 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 450nits brightness, and DCI-P3 color gamut. The MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC powers the smartphone coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The camera module is a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture and 120-degree field of view. The secondary sensor is an 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel accommodated inside a punch-hole of the display for selfies and video calls.
The device runs on the Android 11 Operating System with MIUI 12.5 skin on top. The connectivity options are Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C port, NFC, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Note 10 Pro 5G features a dual JBL speaker and has IP53 certification for dust and water resistance.
The battery capacity of the smartphone is a 5,000mAh cell that supports fast charging of 67W with the in-box provided adapter.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G comes for a price tag of CNY 1,599 or approx. Rs. 18,200 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option for CNY 1,799 or approx. Rs. 20,500, and CNY 1,999 or approx. Rs. 22,800 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option.
The color options for the device are Magic Green, Star Yarn, and Moon Soul variants. The device is available for pre-order in China as of now with a discount of CNY100. The sale of the device is scheduled for 1st June.
