How to Recover Deleted Contacts from Samsung Galaxy S7

Amar Ilindra • Updated March 27, 2020 • 5 min read • 3 Comments

I accidentally deleted my contacts from the list, how to recover them? Contacts are deleted after performing the factory reset, what can I do to bring them back? My kids erased the contacts that I need, how can I restore?

If you are facing the same issues as mentioned above then you are in luck today. In this article, we are going to demonstrate how to recover deleted contacts from Samsung Galaxy S7 as well as other Android smartphones. Samsung Galaxy S7 and other series are facing a lot of data deletion issues after the latest software update that causes miscellaneous data loss. Moreover, if you perform a factory reset or if any virus or malware attacks your Android smartphone then the first thing it does is to delete the contacts, messages and other private files.

If you have taken precaution before and created a full back up of your smartphone then you can simply use that file to restore all the data back to your device. But most people don’t really care to back up and hence, this becomes a serious issue.

But never worry, we are going to share a couple of ways to recover your deleted contacts today so that you can keep in touch with your dear ones.

Solution #1: Recover Deleted Contacts from Google Account:

The best thing about Samsung Galaxy S7 and other Android devices is that it let you link to your Gmail account and back up necessary contents like contacts, messages, pictures, etc. to your Google account. If you have backed up your contacts in your Gmail account then implement the following steps to recover them.

Step 1: Visit https://contacts.google.com/ from your Samsung Galaxy S7 using any browser.

Step 2: Click on “More” from the left sidebar and choose “Undo Changes”.

Select the time frame to restore the contacts

Step 3: Google will ask you the time range when you lost the contacts. For example, if you lost the contacts before an hour then click on “1 hour ago” and hit “Confirm”.

Now, all the contacts deleted before an hour will be restored back on to your phone. You can check your contacts list after that and all the lost contacts should be there now.

Cons:

  • Google has a policy of removing your contacts within 30 days, so there’s a high chance you may not be able to restore the contacts.
  • If you never backed up your contacts to your Google account then you won’t be able to restore any contacts at all.

Solution #2: Recover Deleted Contacts from Samsung Galaxy S7 using Third Party Tools:
