Realme X With Snapdragon 710 Processor And 8GB RAM Visits Geekbench

Abhishek Jariwala • Updated May 11, 2019 • 3 min read •

Realme, a sub-brand from Oppo which has successfully made its name in India. Also, the fact that Realme just completed its first year in operation is an achievement in itself. At the moment, Realme is thought of as being a mid-range smartphone brand. This is true at the moment because of Realme’s portfolio of products too.

Currently, Realme only has smartphones in mid-range and budget category. But it looks like Realme is looking to enter the upper mid-range category with its Realme X. And as expected, the Realme X comes with some flagship-grade specifications and features. We know that Realme X is launching in China on May 15 and the smartphone makes its visit to Geekbench

Realme X, Realme’s new smartphone, has been spotted now on benchmarking site, Geekbench. This is before the smartphone gets officially launched in China on May 15. Now, this could well be done by reviewers or media personnel who generally receive the review units before the launch itself. However, we now know some of the specifications Realme X will pack inside it.

Firstly, it is now confirmed that Realme X will not feature a Snapdragon 855 processor as rumored. Instead, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 710 processor as seen on Realme 3 Pro. Now, it is possible that this could be the benchmarks of Realme X Youth Edition too but we are not sure.

Right now, we are assuming that the benchmarks are of Realme X with model number Realme RMX1901. The benchmarks also reveal that Realme X will have at least one variant with 8GB RAM. Realme X is also spotted running Android 9.0 Pie which is obvious-yet-welcomed in 2019.

The major change in Realme X, however, will be its design. According to leaks from the past, the device is expected to come with a bezel-less design and pop-up selfie camera. In addition, Realme X is also officially teased to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. As you can clearly see from the image attached above from the official teaser poster in China.

Coming to the benchmark scores, Realme X scores 1506 in single core test whereas 5837 in the multi-core test. This is comparable to the Realme 3 Pro which is running the same chipset.

So you should not expect any major difference in performance between the two devices. It is also likely that Realme X will be priced in the sub-Rs. 20,000 segment if it comes to India at all.
