Realme C21Y has launched officially on 23rd August in India and today the smartphone is available for sale. The device is a budget offering that competes with the likes of Micromax In 2b; and the upcoming Redmi 10 Prime smartphones. Although the price of the smartphone is on par with brands like Poco, Redmi, and Micromax, the internals provided are substandard.
Apart from the pricing and internals, the design of the smartphone is a plastic build and has a glass display on the front. Even the side frame of the smartphone is made from plastic and may not give a sturdy feeling. Although the back frame is plastic, Realme has provided a pattern design on the back for an appealing look. The back features rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
Realme C21Y Specifications
The C21Y smartphone sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. As the device is a budget offering, the display comes with a regular 60Hz panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, an Unisoc T610 SoC chipset powers the device along with 3/4 GB of RAM. Also, the internal storage provided is 32/64 GB with expandability via an SD card for up to 256GB.
The device runs on the Android 11 operating system with Realme UI skin on top. The camera module on the C21Y is a triple cameras setup featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor. A 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens for close-up shots. Besides, the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel sensor accommodated in the water-drop notch for selfies and video calling.
The connectivity options on the Realme C21Y include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, the sensors array on the smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The battery capacity of the smartphone is of a 5000mAh cell that supports reverse wired charging.

The Realme C21Y comes at a price tag of Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Besides, the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant comes for Rs. 9,999 in India. The color options for the C21Y provided by Realme are Cross Black and Cross Blue.
The smartphone goes for sale from today on Flipkart and the e-commerce website is providing a few offers. The offers on Flipkart include Rs. 500 off on prepaid orders for the 4GB and 64GB storage variant.
