Realme Book Slim has arrived in two different variants after a long wait in India. The brand has teased the laptop for a long time and finally launches it alongside the Realme GT series of smartphones.
Realme has brought in some premium features packed that include a 2K resolution display with thin side bezels. The display even has a higher screen-to-body ratio of 90% for an immersive experience.
Realme has been pushing a lot of AIOT products from their end for building a brand name among all the products. They have already made their mark with the Android smartphones and audio products like TWS earphones in the market.
The outer shell of the Book Slim is made up of a unibody aluminum alloy and features a mirrored logo on the back for branding.
Realme Book Slim Specifications
The Book Slim sports a 14-inch 2K, IPS display with a 2160 x 1440 pixels of resolution. The display supports a 100 percent sRGB color gamut, a peak brightness of 400 nits which is 33 percent brighter than typical laptops.
The display has thin and narrow bezels of 5.3mm thickness on the sides and 8.45mm from top and bottom. The laptop runs on Windows 10 operating system and is upgradable to Windows 11.
The internals of the laptop features up to 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU along with the Intel Iris Xe graphics. The storage of the Book Slim notebook is up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage.
Realme has taken care of the thermals by providing a dual-fan ‘Storm Cooling’ thermal management system. This system comes with two copper pipes that dissipate the heat efficiently.
The connectivity options are Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 port; a Thunderbolt 4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The i3 variant of the slim book doesn’t come with the Thunderbolt 4 port but has a regular Type-C port. The microphone array on the device includes two mics that use AI algorithms for noise canceling.
The device features a three-position adjusted backlit keyboard with a 1.3mm key travel three-position. On the media front, the notebook comes with two Harman speakers with DTS audio. The battery capacity of the Realme Book Slim is of a 54Wh cell that gives a backup of 11 hours on a single charge. Although the device has support for fast charging of up to 65W, Realme is providing a 30W Dart Charger in the box.
Price and Availability
The Realme Book Slim with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage as an introductory offer starts at Rs. 44,999 with Intel Core i3 chipset and the normal pricing of this variant is Rs. 46,999. The Intel i5 version with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs. 56,999 as an introductory offer but the normal price is Rs. 59,999.
The color options of the device include Real Blue and Real Grey options. The laptop will be available for purchase starting on August 30 from Flipkart, Realme.com, and other retail stores across India.
