Within a short time, Realme has managed to steal a spot in the favourite list of budget smartphone users. Right before the launch, their CEO announced that it’s their goal to cater to the customers under 20K price range.
The last offering from the company was Realme X, which attracted a lot of criticism for not opting for Snapdragon 730 chipset. Even before the ‘X’ buzz ends, they are planning to release another device. The company has teased the launch on Twitter with the hashtag #QuadCameraSpeester.
Realme 5 Series to Go Live on August 20
No matter how many times the brand repeats they are independent, we all know who backs it up. The Oppo-powered smartphone brand took its birth to challenge the dominance Xiaomi (rather Redmi) has had over the last few years. Going by the industry turnaround, we should say they succeeded in their mission.
Most probably, there will be two models under Realme 5 series; regular 5 and a 5 Pro. We’re not quite sure about the arrival of the first because the company only flaunted on 5 Pro. Chances are both will go live in the same event.
Optics is the lucrative area for Realme 5 Pro. First, in the short history of the company are they going to launch a phone with quad-camera setup, comprises of 48-megapixel primary sensor. The secondary sensor includes a wide-angle lens with the 119-degree field of view, tertiary with a super macro lens of focal length 4 cm, and the fourth sensor features a portrait lens.
No specification details are available for Realme 5. Apart from the camera information, they haven’t broken anything about 5 Pro as well.
However, we could spot a Twitter user leaking the internal specs of the device. Going by his tweet, the device will have Snapdragon 712 under the hood. The display will rely on AMOLED panel with a water-drop notch. He also went on to say that Sony IMX586 takes the place of the primary sensor.
To recall, Realme X features 6.53-inch full HD+ AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Beneath the hood, it features Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with up to 8 GB RAM. The internal storage (up to 256 GB) is not available for expansion via SD card.
If you want to know any of the Realme X features make their way to the new offerings, you have to wait until August 20. They are conducting it at 12:30 PM in India.
