We have been hearing a lot about Realme’s 5 series smartphones. Going by the company’s short tradition of bringing value for money smartphone, gadget enthusiasts were keen to see what specs the Oppo spin-off is going to include.

Way before the launch, we got to know both the devices come equipped with quad cameras. Moreover, the company CEO himself announced Realme 5 is going to be the first smartphone under 10k price bracket to have a quad camera setup.

You can’t overlook how fast the company rose to popularity. Oppo wanted to come clean about the criticism of them not launching value for money models. Moreover, it was their necessity to challenge the online monopoly of Redmi.

About a month ago, the company went on to releasing Realme X. Owing to the chipset inside, the company even became the favorite topic for tech memes (multitudes of smartphones with Snapdragon 710).

Let us now jump into features. The Realme 5, the low-end variant comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display. Underneath the hood, you can spot Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with 3 or 4 GB of RAM. There are multiple storage variants available from 32 GB to 128 GB.

As for the optics, it houses a quad camera on the back with a 12-megapixel primary camera (PDAF and an f/1.8 aperture), an 8-megapixel sensor (f/2.25 aperture and a 119-degree wide-angle lens), a 2-megapixel macro lens (f/2.4 aperture + 4cm focus distance), and a 2-megapixel portrait lens (f/2.4 aperture). You will also get Electronic Image Stabilisation. Upfront, it has a 13 MP selfie camera.

Realme 5 Pro, on the other hand, sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 powers up the device doubled with 4, 6, or 8 GB RAM. The 64 or 128 GB internal storage can be expanded up to 256 GB using an external SD card.

Just like Realme 5, the Pro version also has a rear quad camera setup, but with different sensors. Here it comes with 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, 8 MP secondary sensor, a 2 MP macro lens, and a 2 MP portrait lens. On the front, you can find 16 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

You can start buying the phone on August 27. And, they will make it available via Flipkart, Realme official site, and offline stores. The price starts at Rs. 9999 for the 32 GB version of Realme 5. The 64 GB model is available at Rs. 10999 and 128 GB at Rs. 11999. When it comes to Realme 5 Pro, the price starts from Rs. 13999 and expands all the way up to Rs. 16999.
