Poco has announced a new device in the M-series – the M3 Pro, offering mid-range specifications. The Poco M3 Pro launched as a global variant with the MediaTek Dimensity chipset under the hood.
The design prospects of the device on the back are different from the previous editions. Although, the smartphone is a rebranded variant of the Redmi Note 10 5G.
The newest 5G smartphone from Poco features some of the new options that improve the overall user experience. The manufacturer has given a DynamicSwitch feature on the M3 Pro as the device supports a higher refresh rate.
This feature helps the display to switch from a different range of refresh rates. The display can switch from 90Hz, 60Hz, 50Hz, and 30Hz, helping it to adapt refresh rate to content while saving power.
Poco M3 Pro 5G Specifications and Features
The device sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ punch-hole display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate with Dynamic Switch feature tagging along with a 1,500:1 contrast ratio.
An Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC powers the device coupled with 6GB of RAM. The internal storage provided is up to 128GB. The smartphone runs on the Android 11 operating system with MIUI 12 skin on top.
The camera module on the M3 Pro is a triple-lens setup consisting of a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.79 aperture. A secondary 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
There are an array of camera features such as Night mode, AI camera 5.0, movie frame, time-lapse, slow motion video, and macro mode.
The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and has features such as AI Beautify, Timed Burst, AI Portrait, and Movie frame.
The connectivity features provided on M3 Pro are dual-SIM slots, 5G, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
On the security front, the Poco device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with AI Face Unlock support. The sensors provided on the device are proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, IR blaster.
The battery capacity of the smartphone is a 5,000mAh lithium-ion cell with 18W fast charging adapter support included in the box.
Price and Availability
The Poco M3 Pro comes at a price tag of EUR 159 or approx. Rs. 14,100 for the base variant 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option comes for a price of EUR 179 or approx. Rs. 15,900.
The handset flaunts in three different colors, Cool Blue, Power Black, and Poco Yellow. There is no official information on the launch date in India. The smartphone is available for ordering on the AliExpress e-commerce website.
