OPPO A76 launched officially in the country of Malaysia as an affordable offering; featuring a Snapdragon Chipset and a high refresh rate; punch-hole display. The newly announced smartphone from the Chinese brand comes as a successor; for the previously launched A74 in April last year.
However, the device comes with few changes that appeal to the new smartphone purchasers at this price point. Those upgrades or changes include a new camera design on the rear that grabs the attention right away. The back colors pop out, and especially the black version gives a subtle look; with a glowing pattern along the way of the camera bump.
OPPO A76 Specifications
The new A-series smartphone from OPPO sports a 6.56 inches (16.66 cm) IPS LCD with a screen resolution of 720 × 1612 pixels. The display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and the brightness goes from a typical 480 nits to 600 nits at full range.
Furthermore, the A76 has an 83.1% screen-to-body ratio with a punch-hole display along with a pixel density of 269. Under the hood, an octa-core Snapdragon 680 4G chipset coupled with Adreno 610 powers the handset.
The camera layout on the rear features a dual-lens setup that includes; a 13-megapixel main wide-angle 1.12 µm sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and supports PDAF. Besides, the secondary sensor on the setup comes with a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture that helps in capturing portrait shots with bokeh effects.
Coming to the front, the punch-hole front-facing camera on the A76 comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with a wide f/2.0 aperture.
The sensors array of the new affordable smartphone from OPPO includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, proximity, and a compass. Whereas the connectivity features the smartphone possesses are 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth V5.0 with aptX HD, GPS, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The 5000 mAh Li-Po battery pack on the handset juices the mobile and supports a 33W SuperVOOC Fast Charging.
Price and Availability
OPPO has offered the smartphone in two different color options; the Glowing Black and Glowing Blue; where the back panels feature Glow Design that shimmers when the panel gets tilted in a few angles.
The OPPO A76 smartphone gets a price tag of MYR 899 in Malaysia for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, after the conversion rate from Malaysia to Indian pricing, the smartphone may launch in India at a price of Rs. 16,000. There’s no official information from the company regarding the launch of the device in India.
