OPPO A16 is a new entrant in the affordable smartphone market for Indian consumers with a MediaTek chipset. The newly announced smartphone is a successor to the A15 launched in October 2020. Besides, the design has changed quite a bit with a new finish on the back and thin bezels on the front. Also, the rear features an AI-enabled triple camera setup with an LED flash.

The OPPO A16 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD with narrow bezels and a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display supports Eye Care mode and comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio screen. The device runs on the Android 11 Operating system with Color OS 11.1 on top. Under the hood, an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU powers the smartphone.
