OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 8 series and set to launch its next smartphone OnePlus Z. An upcoming device from the company which previously said to be powered by a MediaTek SoC has now been tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 765 SoC.
Tipster Max J tweeted an image that reveals the design of the device and processor. The image shows an image of SoC reads 765, which is referred to as Snapdragon 765 chipset. Previously Max revealed that the device will be coming out in July this year and will be called OnePlus Z, not the OnePlus 8 Lite.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 is built on 7nm technology. It has a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz and Kryo 475 CPU cores coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. It comes with features like Wi-Fi 6, Snapdragon X52 Modem-RF System for 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, and LTE including CBRS support.
OnePlus Z Design and Specs
Previously OnePlus Z’s alleged live image was leaked online, suggesting a flat display on top. The image shared by TrueTech, reveals its design from the front.
The photo shows the phone packs hole-punch camera on the front and an In-display fingerprint scanner. The In-display fingerprint scanner gives us hints about the presence of an OLED screen on the phone.
Coming to the specs the device is said to sport a 6.4-inch display. The maximum refresh rate of the device is not mentioned anywhere but the Snapdragon 765 supports a max refresh rate of 60Hz.
It may pack a 4,000mAh battery which will support fast charging and triple rear camera at the back. Further, the phone is said to include NFC and 5G connectivity support.
In the optics department, the phone may feature a triple rear camera setup at the back with 48 MP primary, 16 MP secondary and 12 MP tertiary camera.
For now, we have limited information about the device. Also, there is no information about the launch date from the company. However, Max J believes the device will launch in July. Till then you can guess the price of the device in the comment section below.
