OnePlus 7 Series Officially Launched in India Starting At Rs. 32,999

Abhishek Jariwala • Updated May 16, 2019 • 3 min read •

OnePlus launched its OnePlus 7 series in India and the US after tons of leaks and teasers. As expected, OnePlus 7 series includes two smartphones this time around, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. This means that OnePlus 7 Pro is where OnePlus will concentrate the most because it is the ‘Pro’ variant. Evidently, OnePlus 7 Pro is no longer a flagship killer but a real flagship due to its specifications and pricing.

OnePlus 7 Pro’s highlighting features are its display, triple rear cameras as well as a pop-up selfie camera. We can also say that OnePlus 7 is the ‘flagship killer’ from OnePlus this time around.

The OnePlus 7 series in India starts at Rs. 32,999 for the OnePlus 7 base variant. It goes up to Rs. 56,999 for the OnePlus 7 Pro top-end variant with 12 GB RAM.

OnePlus 7 series: Snapdragon 855 processor, 48MP primary rear camera and more

The common thing about OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro is that both run on Snapdragon 855 processor. Also, both the OnePlus devices have UFS 3.0 storage for fast read/write speeds.

Along with that, you have a 48MP primary rear camera on both these devices. But that is where the similarities come to an end. OnePlus 7 can also be seen as a spec-upgrade over the OnePlus 6T.

However, the surprising factor about this device is its price. OnePlus 7 starts at Rs. 32,999 in India for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device goes up to Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM variant with 256GB storage. This means that OnePlus 7’s price is even lower than last year’s OnePlus 6 & OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus 7 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with the 90Hz refresh rate. The device’s base variant has 6GB RAM but it goes up to 12GB for the top variant. It also has a maximum of 256GB storage for its highest variant. You get triple rear cameras at the back too. These cameras are a 48MP primary, 8MP telephoto lens and a 16MP ultrawide lens.

On the front, you have a 16MP selfie camera inside the pop-up mechanism. OnePlus 7 Pro also comes with Warp Charge 30 which charges from 0 to 50% in under 20 minutes, as per OnePlus’ claims. Along with that, you get stereo speakers on both the OnePlus 7 series devices too.
