Ever since OnePlus 5 launched, every gadget enthusiast was waiting for its incremental upgrade (Yeah, the ‘T’ edition). At first, the company kept their silence which even made everybody think the 5T was not going to happen. However, OnePlus later confirmed the arrival of the 5T.

Yesterday (16-11-2017), they have launched OnePlus 5T at an event conducted in New York. The highlight of the flagship is the near bezel-less display itself.

As you read above, the OnePlus 5T sports a full HD+ a near bezel-less display with the trending 18:9 aspect ratio. It seems like the company purposefully included bezels on OnePlus 5 to make the successor superior.

Another area you will find a difference is the dual camera setup. The original OnePlus 5 also came up with dual rear cameras. Nevertheless, the 5T features larger aperture lens replacing the telephoto one found on the predecessor.

The dual nano-SIM device packs in the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at up to 2.45 GHz coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. You can opt for either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM.

When it comes to the camera, the front gets what we already saw on OnePlus 5. OnePlus replaced the telephoto lens with a larger aperture one (with 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K sensor) on OnePlus 5T to improve lowlight performance. It can record 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 60 fps. Moreover, the dual cameras get dual LED flash alongside the setup. They also refined the camera interface to make the access to features easier.

Everything else remains the same as that of OnePlus 5. 5T has the same 3300 mAh battery, onboard storage (64 GB or 128 GB), alert slider, sensors, and connectivity options. Nonetheless, the fingerprint scanner found its position on the back above the OnePlus branding to make room for the bezel-less display.

Along with the fingerprint locking, you will also get a facial unlocking, which isn’t a hardware feature like Face ID.

OnePlus also retained the same price and it might disappoint those who bought the OnePlus 5. OnePlus 5T price in India starts at Rs. 32,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant and goes up to Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage variant. The phone is exclusively available on Amazon for sale from November 21 at 4:30 PM IST. You can also buy the device from OnePlus’s online Indian store as well. The phone is only available in midnight black color.
