Nubia Z50 Ultra has officially launched featuring the high-end latest Snapdragon chipset and an under-display camera. The ZTE sub-brand has announced its newest member in the Z-series with a completely new design. The back panel design of the special edition Z50 gets quite an intriguing Starry Night artwork done by Vincent Van Gogh.
The display of the new Nubia device has a notch-free AMOLED panel and a triple camera setup on the rear. Moreover, the brand has provided the smartphone with support for fast charging for its 5000mAh battery.

Nubia Z50 Ultra Specifications
The Nubia Z50 Ultra sports a 6.8-inch OLED display without any notch or punch-hole for an immersive full-screen experience. The display comes with a Full HD+ resolution of 1,116 x 2,480 pixels that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen even features a touch sampling rate of 960Hz and 1440 PWM dimming.
The display has a peak brightness of 1500 nits and supports 10-bit color and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the smartphone with Adreno 740 GPU. The storage provided on the smartphone comes with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The camera module on the Z50 features a triple camera setup. A primary 35mm 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). A secondary 85mm 64-megapixel periscope zoom sensor with OIS and a tertiary 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Furthermore, there’s a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16E1Q under-display camera (UDC). The front-facing shooter has a 2.24m super large pixel size.
The connectivity options of the Z50 Ultra include Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. An IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor, and a USB Type-C port. The sensor array includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The battery pack features a 5000mAh cell that supports 80W fast charging.
Price and Availability
In China, pre-orders for the Z50 Ultra are being taken for all variations, and the initial sales will start on March 14. Priced at CNY 4,999 (about Rs. 59,000), the Nubia Z50 Ultra Starry Night Collector’s Edition has 512 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM. The limited-edition phone has a blue color shade. It comes with a design as a nod to the well-known Starry Night artwork by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh.
The regular Nubia Z50 Ultra comes in Black and Grey shades. The cost of the phone varies depending on its storage capacity: the 8 GB + 256 GB model costs CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 47,200), the 12 GB + 256 GB model costs CNY 4,299 (about Rs. 50,600), and the 12 GB + 512 GB model costs CNY 4,699 (around Rs. 55,500). The cost of the premium Nubia Z50 Ultra 16 GB + 1 TB model is CNY 5,999. (approximately Rs. 70,800).
