The Nokia G60 5G handset has officially arrived in India. The device features a Snapdragon chipset, triple rear cameras, and a high refresh rate display. HMD Global unveiled the smartphone last month alongside the X30 5G handset at IFA 2022. The latest G-series device from Nokia features a 100% recycled plastic back and a 60% recycled frame.
Nokia India has informally brought the device silently to India. The brand announced the device for the country via Twitter. The sub-brand of HMD Global even promises the customers with the promise of 3 OS updates, 3 years of security patches, and an extended 3-year warranty. Nokia G60 Specifications
The G6o 5G handset from HMD Global sports a 6.58 inches Full HD IPS LCD with a 1080 x 2408 pixels of screen resolution. The display of the device features a 120Hz high-refresh-rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with Adreno 619 GPU powers the device. The G60 5G runs on the Android 12 operating system with a stock user interface.
The camera module of the smartphone features a triple camera setup housing a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary sensor on the setup comes with a 5-megapixel ultrawide shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.
Besides, the tertiary sensor of the cameras features a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The handset’s front-facing camera comes with an 8-megapixel wide shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
The connectivity features on the device include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Moreover, the sensors array on the smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The battery pack provided with G60 comes with a Li-Po 4500 mAh, non-removable cell that supports 20W Fast charging.
Price and Availability
The HMD Global brand hasn’t revealed the smartphone’s pricing yet and only listed the smartphone on Nokia India’s official website. However, the pricing outside of India for the Nokia G60 is $389 or Rs. 32,056 approx after conversion.
But the company might bring the smartphone at a comparatively lower price compared to Europe and the United States. The expected pricing of the smartphone for the Indian market is around Rs. 25,490 for the single storage version of 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The device flaunts two different color options: Pure Black and Ice Gray.
