Nokia has been prepping up to launch its latest flagship smartphone. The latest flagship smartphone in Nokia’s lineup will be the Nokia 9. Now, we have been getting rumors about the Nokia 9 from quite some time. HMD Global is expected to name its latest flagship as Nokia 9 PureView.
This smartphone is rumored to have a five-camera setup on the back. We now have the first real-life images of the Nokia 9 PureView courtesy of NokiaPowerUser. Also, the Nokia 9 PureView is going to be released at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
Nokia 9 PureView with a Penta-camera setup
First of all, the real-life of Nokia 9 PureView does reveal a Penta-camera setup on the rear. Along with that, we can see the LED flash in this setup. However, Android One branding is missing from this smartphone’s back panel. As we already know, Nokia has pledged to launch all their latest smartphones under the Android One program.
We can also see that the back panel of Nokia 9 PureView has a glossy finish. Coming to the front, we can see a mono selfie camera at the top.
But there are visible bezels on the top and bottom of this device. So the Nokia 9 PureView will not have a bezel-less front. Also, Nokia 9 PureView has a Nokia branding on the top-right rather than on the bottom chin.
One other noticeable change is the absence of a fingerprint scanner. This indicates that the Nokia 9 PureView will have an in-display fingerprint scanner. Earlier, we received rumors regarding the specifications of Nokia 9 PureView as well.
According to rumors, the Nokia 9 PureView will have a 5.99-inch FHD+ display and might also have HDR-10 support. Nokia 9 PureView is, however, expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC.
It is worth noting that Qualcomm recently announced their flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC. Therefore, Nokia’s decision to power its 2019 flagship with last year’s SoC will definitely come under scrutiny.
On the other hand, the Nokia 9 PureView might possibly have 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB internal storage options. Nokia 9 PureView might also have a massive battery capacity of 4150 mAh battery. We also expect Nokia 9 to have fast charging as well as wireless charging support.
Moreover, it is almost certain that the Nokia 9 PureView will be announced at the MWC later this month. Along with that, Nokia might launch its latest budget smartphone in the Nokia 6 series. We expect HMD Global to announce this smartphone as the Nokia 6.2 or Nokia 6 2019.
