Nokia 8.1 Officially launched with AI-powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 and 6.18 Inch Pure Display

Nokia 8.1 is officially launched by HMD Global at Dubai on Wednesday. The company signifies the smartphone as the “affordable premium” because of the mid-range specifications that make it affordable to the common mass.

The new Nokia comes with a dual-tone metal frame to ensure the durability of the smartphone. The seamless and sophisticated design make it stand out of the box among all the smartphones launched this year. It has a 6000-series aluminum body and an elegant metal body.

The smartphone sports 6.18-inch Full HD+ edge-to-edge display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 81.5 percent screen-t0-body ratio. The device features AI-powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor clocked up to 2.2Ghz. It delivers the perfect speed needed. The new adaptive battery with 3500 mAh capacity provides 18W high-speed charging.

The smartphone features 4GB RAM with 64GB of expandable memory. The dual sim Nokia 8.1 runs on Android 9 Pie and since it is a part of Android One system it is sure to come with new updates from time-to-time. The device has connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, VoWiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. It bears an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light etc. The fingerprint sensor has been provided on the rear panel of the smartphone.

The handset bears dual rear camera setup with Zeiss Optics. The 12 MP primary camera features a 1/2.55 inch sensor and a dual LED flash. The secondary 13MP fixed focus lens is mainly for depth sensing. At the front of the device, it bears 20 MP fixed focus lens that is for low light photography.

The new Nokia 8.1 is available at price EUR 399 that is approximately Rs 31,900 in India. It will be available in Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, and Iron/Steel duotone variant. According to the reports, HMD Global will be releasing the smartphone in India on 10th December and would be made available soon this month.
