HMD Global has launched a Nokia 5310 feature phone in India. The latest feature phone is a refreshed version of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic that was launched back in 2007. As the name suggests the XpressMusic is known for its speakers and the new 5310 also has some special features like preloaded MP3 player, Wireless FM Radio and dual speaker.
HMD globals have launched a couple of rebranded feature phones in the past and Nokia 5320 is the latest edition to the series. In the past, the company has launched rebranded Nokia 3310 dual SIM, Nokia 216 Dual SIM, Nokia 110, Nokia 106 and Nokia 105. While launching old features phones with new designs the company is also taking part in producing the latest tech-enabled smartphones.
Nokia 5310 Specs and Features
The feature phone has a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6260A SoC coupled with 8 MB of RAM. It has a 16 MB internal storage which can be expandable up to 32GB by an external microSD card.
In the optics department, it has a VGA camera at the back paired with an LED flash. It has a 1200mAh removable battery that is said to deliver 20 hours of talk time or up to 22 days of standby time on a single charge.
For connectivity options, it has Bluetooth v3.0, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone also packs dual front-facing speakers with dedication playback control buttons. It weighs 88.2 grams and comes in two color options: white/red and black/red.
Price and Availability
The Nokia 5310 is priced at Rs 3,339. The phone will be available for purchase starting June 23 via Amazon and the Nokia offline stores. Also, interested ones can pre-book the device directly from the company’s website.
In India, there are still many people who use feature phones, and the device is aimed at those. On Monday, during a virtual briefing HMD global said, there are over 130 million users buying 2G handsets in India. The company, citing the data from Facebook insights.
