HMD global has been pushing out budget smartphones in the market. The company has scheduled an event on 23 February 2020 in Barcelona. The company is expected to launch a host of smartphones including Nokia 5.2, Nokia 8.2 5G and more. As per the rumors, Nokia 5.2 code-named ‘Captain America’ is in the list of upcoming smartphones.
Recently a live image of a Nokia smartphone leaked online. Rumors says the phone surfaced online could be the Nokia 5.2. The leaked image shows the phone from both sides. The back panel includes a physical fingerprint scanner, quad-camera setup and Nokia branding.
Nokia 5.2 “Hands-on Image”
Popular tipster Evan Blass shared a hands-on image of the upcoming smartphone from Nokia. In his tweet, he also notes that the smartphone depicted in the carries the codename ‘Captian America’. However, he also put the question mark after the Nokia 5.2, suggests that the name of the smartphone might turn out to be something else.
Nokia 5.2 Design
The hands-on device reveals the design of the device. It’s pretty much similar to the old Nokia devices at least from the front. In the front, it sports a “Water Drop Notch” display with a Nokia branding on the bottom chin. In the leaked image we can clearly see the bezels around the display. The UI of the device suggests it will be the same “Android One” smartphone. And will run on Android 10 out of the box.
The rear panel has a curved profile and appears to have a glossy finish. As mentioned above includes a quad camera setup in a circular camera module. The circular rim houses a dual-LED flash in the center. However, we have no clue which camera sensor is going to be used in the device.
The tweet also suggests that the device will come with 6GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. However, it’s unclear whether the device will have a 4GB RAM variant or not.
Price and Availability
According to Evan’s tweet, the 6GB Ram and 64GB internal storage variant will cost $180 that’s roughly Rs 12,800. The smartphone will be available starting 4 March. However, it’s still unclear, when the smartphone will launch in India and at what price.
For now, we have limited information about the device. Well, you can tell us why HMD globals gave the device a codename Captain America? Is it related to the Falcon move?
