MSI unveils Alpha 15 gaming laptop in India with upgraded internals that features; AMD’s Ryzen Mobile chipset and a Radeon RX 6000 GPU. Recently, MSI has launched its Katana series of laptops in the country and they are available for sale now.
The Alpha 15 comes with all the high-end specifications suitable for a gaming prospect with RGB lighting as well.
MSI Alpha 15 Specifications
The Alpha 15 laptop sports a 15.6-inches FHD IPS Display with a resolution of 1920×1080. The display supports a 144Hz high-refresh-rate and comes with thin bezels on the sides and top. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home operating system and is upgradable to Windows 11 in the future. Under the hood, up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 5000 H-Processors power the device.
The Alpha 15 comes with AMD Radeon™ RX 6600M GPU with a Visual memory of 8GB GDDR6 for the graphics-intensive workload. The storage provided on the MSI laptop is 2 slots of DDR4-3200 with up to 64GB RAM; a 2x M.2 and PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD slots for internal storage. The laptop comes with an HD 720p webcam and features an RGB Backlight Keyboard.
The speakers set on the Alpha 15 accompanies two 2W tweeters tuned by High-Res Nahimic 3 Audio Enhancer. The connectivity options on the laptop include a Gb LAN, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 AX, and Bluetooth v5.1.
The I/O ports are fully loaded which comes with a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, 2x USB Gen1 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 Type-A port; an HDMI port, and a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C DisplayPort.
Speaking of the thermals, the newly announced laptop from MSI features Cooler Boost 5 thermal solutions. The new Cooler Boost 5 thermal system with the help of redesigned heat pipes; provides more airflow that results in low CPU and GPU temperatures. There is no information regarding the battery capacity of the Alpha 15 but the manufacturer is providing a 185W adapter with the laptop.
Price and Availability
The MSI Alpha 15 comes at a starting price of Rs. 1,45,990 and the manufacturer is bringing the laptop for sale to MSI brand stores; authorized sellers, and other retail stores in India.
The laptop will compete with other gaming laptop brands such as Alienware and the ASUS ROG series of laptops in India.
