Moto X4, globally launched at IFA event earlier, is going to hit the Indian market soon. At an event in New Delhi, Lenovo will launch the device today. They planned to bring it here on October 3 and later delayed for some strange reasons.
You can watch the live stream of the event from the embedded video given below. The device will come out as a Flipkart exclusive at a leaked price of Rs. 23999.
Moto X4 India Launch Set for Today
Motorola’s X series was a premium lineup before the last IFA event. The company brought down the specifications to the mid-range level and made Moto X4 a mid-ranger. The main highlight of the phone is its inbuilt Amazon Alexa voice assistant support. Moreover, you will also get water and dust protection as it has an IP68 rating.
When it comes to the specifications, Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch full HD LTPS IPS display with a pixel density of 424 PPI. Corning Gorilla Glass on top of the screen protects it from scratches. Underneath the hood, the phone packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor (clocked at 2.2 GHz) coupled with Adreno 508 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. Although the onboard storage is only 32 GB, you can expand it up to a whopping amount of 2 TB using a micro SD card.
The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will most probably get the Oreo update soon. The global variant has only one SIM card slot. However, Moto might introduce a dual nano SIM variant here in India.
The significant feature on Moto X4 is its dual camera setup on the back. Composed of one 12-megapixel dual autofocus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels, and one 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixel, it brings a stiff camera performance to the table. The setup also has a color correlated dual LED flash and supports phase detection autofocus.
You will get many camera features to experiment with your shots like ultra-wide angle shot, professional mode, depth detection and depth effects, Selective Focus, selective Black & White (beta), background replacement (beta), spot colour, landmark/object recognition, scan barcodes/QR codes/Business cards, panorama mode, slow-motion video, and best shot.
Up front, it has a 16 MP camera with flash, f/2.0 aperture and 1-micron pixel size. Just like we saw on almost all the selfie-focused smartphone, Moto X4 also has beauty mode and face filters.
The fingerprint scanner on the device found its position on the physical home button below the screen. The 3000 mAh battery support fast charging, using which you can gather 6-hours of power in under 15 minutes.
