We are seeing new smartphones entering the market every day. On the contrary to the past, we now have many options to choose from as a buyer. Value for money devices, products from reputed brands, you got it all.
Talking about brands, Motorola was the first to release a mobile phone in the market. Even when Android came conquered the smartphone industry, the OEM stood firm. Having gone through the hands of Google, they used to release timely updates. However, now under the helm of Lenovo, the company is not up to the mark with the firmware overhauls. Neither can they really cope up with the extreme competition from Redmi and Realme.
Motorola Released Moto G8 Plus with Triple Rear Cameras
Despite not being on top of buyers’ priority list, the brand comes up with new devices every now and then. Whether or not they can take the market by storm is another story (do you think it’s possible with an outdated processor?).
The latest to come out from Motorola is Moto G8 Plus. In case you are naive, their G series caters to the budget-sensitive users looking for smartphones under Rs. 20000. So, what do they offer with the new G8 Plus? Let’s find out!
The display measures 6.3-inch in size and 1080x 2280 pixels in resolution. Moreover, the IPS LCD panel carries a 19:9 aspect ratio with a tiny U-shaped notch up top. The pixel density is decent (400ppi).
Going under the hood, you can find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC clocked at 2.0 GHz powers the phone. It works hand in hand with Adreno 610 GPU coupled with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM.
The highlight of Moto G8 Plus is its camera. On the back, it houses a triple camera setup. The main 48-MP sensor is Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 with a lens of aperture f/1.79. And, there is a dedicated action camera measuring 16-MP in resolution, complemented by f/2.2 aperture lens. Just like most of the phones in this segment, there is a depth sensor with 5-MP resolution. Upfront, you will also get a 25-MP selfie shooter.
The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie. And, they promised to deliver Android 10. Taking the equation of Motorola with firmware updates, we don’t think it’ll happen too soon. The onboard storage is 64 GB, which you can expand up to 512 GB using an external SD card.
Moto G8 Plus has all the connectivity options and sensors you would expect from a smartphone under 20K INR. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh and it supports 15W TurboPower fast charging.
As for the pricing, you can buy it at Rs. 13999 from India. There are two color variants; Cosmic Blue and Crystal Pink. It will go live via Flipkart on October 29.
