Moto G71 is the latest 5G handset from the brand that; debuted in Europe in November and arrived today in India. The 5G smartphone market has opened up vastly in India; although there is no 5G provider in the country at the present scenario.
Motorola has posted the details of the smartphone and the launch date on their Twitter handle right before the day of launch. The device got listed on Flipkart in a single storage variant and two different color options. A 5G Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset powers the device and runs on Android 11 OS with My UX skin on top.
Moto G71 5G Specifications
Right on the front, the G71 handset features a punch-hole display that features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera along with a thick chin on the bottom. The 6.4-inches screen comes with a Max Vision AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
Moto has packed the display with a regular 60Hz refresh rate; whereas other rivals such as Realme, Redmi, and iQOO use the higher 90 or 120Hz panels.
On the performance side, the G71 handset from Moto boasts an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. The brand hasn’t thrown many options to choose from for the buyers; as the G71 comes in a single storage option of 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Moreover, the smartphone has a water-repellent design that can survive occasional water splashes and supports Dual-Sim.
The optics on the G71 comes in a Triple lens setup that features a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor comes with a 118˚ Field of view (FOV) and an aperture of f/2.2. The tertiary sensor is a usual business of putting a 2-megapixel macro sensor; which every other manufacturer is pulling off to make the devices have more cameras.
The sensors provided on the G71 5G include a fingerprint sensor on the rear, an accelerometer, a gyro, and a proximity sensor. Besides, the device has a range of connectivity options featuring 5G, 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Lastly, the battery capacity on the device is a 5000mAh cell that supports 30W Fast charging; that can juice up the battery up to 50% in 30 minutes.
Price and Availablity
The 6GB RAM and 128GB single storage variant of the Moto G71 5G will cost Rs. 18,999 in India. The smartphone flaunts in two different color options – Arctic Blue and Neptune Green. The sale of the G71 will take off from January 19 on Flipkart India.
Although, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the device is available in Europe; there is no information regarding the same in India.
