The Lenovo-helmed Motorola has launched two smartphones in India yesterday (10-07-2018). Dubbed as Moto E5 Plus and E5, both have seen the light earlier in April at a Brazilian event.
They have released three models in the global event; the third one is E5 Play, which is exclusive to the US market. You can grab the device with some impressive launching offers.

Let’s get straight into the specifications of the devices. As for E5 Plus, it sports a large 6-inch IPS LCD 18:9 display with HD+ (720x 1440 pixels) resolution. The dual nano-SIM device packs in 1.4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The global variant has only the support for single SIM, though.
When it comes to the optics, the phone bears a 12-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.0 lens, LED, phase detection autofocus, and laser autofocus. Up front, you get a 5 MP camera with a selfie flash for low-light photography. You can expand the smartphone’s 32 GB internal storage up to 128 GB.
You get almost all the major connectivity options including 3.5-mm audio jack, Bluetooth, WiFi, and micro USB port. The 5000 mAh battery inside supports TurboPower charging. However, you will have to separately buy the charger.
The phone carries a price tag of Rs. 11999 and you can buy it exclusively from Amazon or Moto Hub stores. Available in Black and Fine Gold color variants, Moto E5 Plus comes with a few launch day offers including Rs. 1000 off on exchange, 130 GB extra data from Jio, Rs. 800 discount for SBI cards, and no-cost EMIs up to 9 months.
On the other hand, the low-end version Moto E5 has a 5.7-inch HD+ Max Vision IPS LCD display. Under the hood, it carries a Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC (clocked at 1.4 GHz) coupled with 2 GB RAM. The internal storage is 16 GB and you can expand it up to 128 GB.
The rear camera measures 13 in megapixels and the front, 5. You get an LED and a selfie flash as well.
You can buy Moto E5 from Amazon or offline stores at a price of Rs. 9999. Reliance Jio’s 130 GB extra data is available to E5 buyers too.
Both the devices bear the fingerprint scanner on the back, just below the rear camera. And, you get Android 8.0 Oreo on them. Motorola’s own Actions and Moto Display are available for some quick toggles.
