LG launched their low-midrange smartphone, Q6 earlier this month in India. But in other markets, they have released three other variants of the same phone, Q6A, Q6 Mini, and the Q6+. Going by the rumors, the company is going to launch the ‘plus’ variant here on September 5.
LG to Launch Q6+ on September 5
The predecessor, LG Q6 got a lot of praise for its display. Although it didn’t pack equal specifications to the competitors, gadget enthusiasts received the smartphone well. And, it seems like they are making a step forward by bringing Q6+ to India.
The recently came out report claims that the upcoming one will only be available offline and priced at around Rs. 17500. Just like what we saw in Q6, some exclusive offers might accompany the new device.
When it comes to specifications, LG Q6+ sports a 5.5-inch full HD+ display with a pixel density of 442 PPI. It has only minimal bezels around the screen and the body is made out of 7000 series aluminum. Underneath the hood, it carries the same Snapdragon 435 chipset. Nonetheless, the onboard storage and RAM differs. Q6+ has a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory on the contrary to the 3 and 32 on the regular Q6 smartphone. And, it has almost all the connectivity options including Bluetooth 4.2. Armed with a 3000 mAh battery, we don’t expect an extraordinary battery life from it. LG ships the device with Android 7.1.1 Nougat along with a 13 MP main shooter and a 5 MP selfie camera.

The main disadvantage of LG Q6 is the lack of a fingerprint scanner, which can sport on even a 5000 INR smartphone today. Instead, the company included a much insecure face recognition technology on it. Q6+ also carries the same disadvantage and going by the rumors, LG is not going to release a fingerprint scanner equipped variant here in India.
Everything else about Q6+ remains almost identical to its predecessor Q6 expect the former will have an additional color option; Marine Blue. As stated earlier, you can’t buy this phone from any online stores. Instead, you will have to approach an offline retailer to get your hands on it.
LG hasn’t officially announced or denied the tipped launch date yet. And, we think the news came out from reliable sources. Let’s wait a few days to know whether or not the leaked launch date is true.
