Lenovo Tab 6 with a 5G Snapdragon Chipset and a huge display; has got an official announcement in Japan on October 14. This newly announced Android device is one of the first tablets that supports 5G connectivity in Japan.
Along with these, Tab 6 arrives with special modes that include ‘PC’ mode, ‘Kids Space’, and ‘Learning’ mode. Additionally, the tablet is IPX3 and IP5X certified which makes the device resistant to water and dust.
Lenovo Tab 6 5G Specifications
The Tab 6 sports a 10.3-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels; and comes with a regular 60Hz refresh rate panel. The tablet runs on the Android 11 Operating system with the Stock interface.
Under the hood, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM powers the device. The internal storage on the tablet is 64GB with expandable storage of up to 1TB with a microSD card.
The camera module on this Android tablet from Lenovo features a single sensor on the rear and back. The rear camera of the tablet features an 8-megapixel sensor and an LED flash; also, the same 8-megapixel sensor is used on the front camera as well. Additionally, the tablet comes with a ‘Kids Space’ specially made for school goers to improve their discovery, imagination, and growth.
Furthermore, the table features Google’s Family link that helps parents to keep an eye on the content their children are watching. The children in their elementary school are welcomed with a ‘Learning mode’ that provides specific apps for helping in learning new stuff and complex problems efficiently. Besides, there’s a ‘PC Mode’ that enables users to multi-task couple applications by using the split-mode feature.
The connectivity options on the tablet include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The Tab 6 with its IPX3 and IPX5 certification provides the tablet with dust and water resistance for accidental water splashes. The battery pack on the tablet is a 7,500mAh battery and there’s no info on the fast charging technology.
Price and Availability
The Lenovo Tab 6 flaunts in two different colors, Abyss Blue and Moon White colors. The device will go on sale soon in Japan and Lenovo hasn’t revealed the price details of the device. There’s no further information on Tab 6 regarding its global availability or launch in India.
