The new iQOO Z5 was announced officially by the manufacturer today in India; after its launch in China a few weeks ago. The device comes with a mid-range contender featuring Snapdragon 700-series 5G chipset; that supports fast charging, stereo speakers, and a high-refresh-rate display.
The device competes along the lines of OnePlus Nord CE 5G and Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G that comes with the same SoC at different pricing.
iQOO Z5 5G Specifications
The iQOO Z5 5G sports a 6.67-inch full-HD+ LCD with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports a 120Hz refresh rate; 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and has HDR 10 certification. The device runs on the Android 11 operating system with Origin OS 1.0 skin on top.
Under the hood, a 6nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset along with Adreno 642L GPU powers the new iQOO smartphone. The storage provided on the device is up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and the internal storage is up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage version for faster speeds. The device features VC liquid cooling system that helps in reducing the heat temperature for those intense gaming sessions.
The Z5 5G camera department comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor; with an f/1.79 aperture. The secondary sensor is an ultra-wide 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens; the tertiary sensor is a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 lens. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture lens for selfies and video calling.
The connectivity options on the Z5 5G include tri-band Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz, 5.1GHz, and 5.8GHz bands; Bluetooth v5.2, USB OTG, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The sensors array of the device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor; accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The battery capacity provided on the device is a 5,000mAh cell that supports a 44W Flash Charge fast charging technology.
Price and Availability
The iQOO Z5 starts at a price tag of Rs. 23,990 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage version and the 12GB RAM and 256GB variant sales at Rs. 26,990. There are two different color options that the Z5 5G flaunts; Arctic Dawn and Mystic Space.
The smartphone is scheduled for sale from October 3 on the occasion of the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale on Amazon and iQOO’s official website.
