Apple has launched a new iPad Pro. The latest iPad Pro comes with a liquid retina display and powered by A12Z Bionic chip. The device is equipped with a Pro camera and Pro features that include a motion sensor, pro audio and LiDAR scanner.
The iPad runs on iPadOS 13.4. For the first time, the company brings support for the trackpad. The trackpad also supports multi-touch gestures. With the iPad, Apple also introduced the new magic keyboard for iPad Pro. The keyboard comes with a floating design and smooth angle adjustment. Further its a backlit keyboard.
Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing said:
Combining the most advanced mobile display with powerful performance, pro cameras, pro audio, the breakthrough LiDAR Scanner and new Magic Keyboard with Trackpad, this is another huge leap forward for iPad.
There’s no other device in the world like the new iPad Pro and we think our customers are going to love it.
iPad Pro Specifications
The latest iPad Pro comes in two sizes variants 11-inch and 12.9-inch. Both size variants come with almost the same specs. The display is an IPS technology liquid retina display that comes with 264 PPI. It features p3 wide color support.
The 11-inch variant has a resolution of 2388 x 1668 pixels whereas, the 12.9-inch model has a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels. The company claims that the display has 600 nits brightness.
The device is powered by A12Z Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture. The company claims the device can edit 4K video or can be used in designing 3D models. The device comes in different storage variants, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
The camera department features 12MP wide camera with f/1.8 aperture, 10MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture. iPad Pro can record 4K videos @60 fps, capture Panorama up to 63MP and also supports digital zoom up to 5x.
Further, it features five studio-quality microphones for capturing super clean audio and the quietest details.
Additionally, the camera module also has a LiDAR scanner. The LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) scanner can measure the distance to surrounding objects up to 5 meters away.
Apple also claims that it’s being used by NASA for the next Mars landing mission. The scanner works at the photon level, operates at nanosecond speeds.
In the front, it has a 7MP lens that features portrait mode, portrait lighting, Animoji, and Memoji. It can record 1080 pixel video @60 fps.
The device has 4 speakers two on top and two at the bottom. For sensors, it includes Face ID, LiDAR scanner, Three-axis gyro, Accelerometer, Barometer, and Ambient light sensor.
The company will release iPadOS 13.4 on March 24. The trackpad support feature will work on iPad Air 2, iPad fifth-generation and the iPad mini4.
Price and Availability
The iPad Pro models start at Rs 71,900 for the 11-inch variant and Rs 89,900 for the 12.9-inch variant. It will be available online in the US. For now, there are no details about the availability in India
