Intel NUC 11 Extreme Kit from the chipset manufacturer is a mini-PC design system with the codename Beast Canyon. The Beast Canyon was a perfect name for the kit although Intel has named it as NUC 11 Extreme Kit in a subtle manner. The sole aesthetic feature of the Canyon Beast is its compact design that can fit in a GPU in a 12-inch space provided.
Intel NUC 11 Extreme Kit Specifications
The exterior of the NUC 11 features a unique and compact design; with an RGB lit skull engraved on the front. Also, the build of the system is made of metal; and the front panel with RGB is replaceable with different panels. The Canyon Beast features an octa-core 11th gen Intel Core i7, or an octa-core 11th Intel Core i9 Gen CPU. Users can opt for any of the two CPU configurations.
The CPU base speeds start from 3.3 GHz and go up to 5.3 GHz. The insides of the mini-PC from Intel come with up to 8 liters in volume that can accommodate a full-sized graphics card. Intel is claiming that the PC can fit a full-size RTX 3080 Ti GPU into the system with no issues. The storage of the PC is up to 64GB of dual-channel RAM and features four M.2 slots to support even more storage.
The cooling aid provided on the Canyon Beast PC is three 92mm fans and users have the feasibility; to interchange the front panels with different designs. The connectivity features include two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports at the front, two 3.5mm headphone jacks (front & rear). The rear I/O comes with six USB-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 connector, and an Ethernet port.
Price and Availability
The Intel NUC 11 Extreme Kit starts at a price tag of $1,150 or Rs 85,000 for the 8-core Core i7-11700B CPU. The high-end model with Core i9-11900KB comes for $1,350 or Rs 1,00,222. The kit is scheduled to be available from the Q3 of 2021 in the United States. There is no information from Intel for the launch of this high-end PC in other countries of the world.
