Huawei is known to announce its smartphones on a large scale. Since the past few years, Huawei is consistently gathering media and influencers at its launch events. Similarly, Huawei invited a large amount of media to its Huawei P30 series launch in Paris. However, we have now found out that Huawei silently launched a new smartphone in its P30 series.
This smartphone from Huawei is the P30 Lite which is a budget version of the P30. Regarding the P30 Lite, there was no announcement from Huawei at the event. Huawei, however, listed this smartphone on its website which is where we came to know about it. Although Huawei has just listed this smartphone at the moment, we know its detailed specifications from its partners, Freedom and Videotron.
Huawei P30 Lite announced with Kirin 710 chip and triple rear cameras
As we mentioned earlier, the Huawei P30 Lite has only been listed on Huawei Canada’s website. Same as previous generations, Huawei’s P30 Lite is the most affordable phone in its P30 series. After that comes the P30 and the P30 Pro which is the top-end flagship from Huawei.
Huawei P30 Lite has a 6.15-inch FHD+ LCD display at a resolution of 2312 x 1080 pixels. There is a waterdrop notch on its display which houses its single front camera.
On the inside, P30 Lite runs on the HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor. Huawei has coupled 4GB of RAM with this processor but you can also get a 6GB RAM variant. In terms of internal storage, you have 128GB memory in-built. The headlining feature of Huawei P30 Lite, however, is its triple rear camera setup. With this, P30 Lite becomes the first mid-ranger to have three cameras on the back.
This triple camera set up at the rear has a 24 MP primary camera, 8MP wide-angle lens and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32 MP selfie camera. Huawei P30 Lite has Quick charge support at 18W rather than Huawei P30’s 22.5W charging capabilities. You get a 3340 mAh battery on the P30 Lite which charges through USB Type-C.
From the promo images, Huawei seems to include its GPU Turbo 2.0 on this phone as well. Huawei’s GPU Turbo 2.0 is known to increase the gaming performance of its devices by overclocking the processor without overheating the smartphone. Huawei is also marketing the selfie camera prowess and the availability of wide-angle lens on its smartphone, according to promo material.
