Huawei launched its latest device P40 Lite 5G in Europe. The device is named similar but different from P40 and P40 Lite, which was launched earlier. The new P40 Lite 5G comes with an in-house built Octa-core processor and flaunts a quad-camera setup at the back.
The Nova P40 Lite looks like a rebadged version of the Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G, which was launched in China last month. The device is also different from the Huawei P40 Lite, launched in Europe in February, and comes with some interesting upgrades. The upgrades include an improved chipset, upgraded camera specs, and support for 5G basebands.
Huawei Nova P40 Lite Specs
The Huawei P40 Lite comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display, with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The LCD panel has a punch-hole design that flaunts the front camera.
The device is powered by Kirin 820 5G SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. You can expand storage by using an external microSD card.
The rear camera setup is aligned vertically and placed at the top left corner of the device. The setup includes a 64 MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.4 aperture, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The device runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. For connectivity options, It has, 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, and more.
The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which supports 40W SuperCharge. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone weighs 189 grams.
Price and Availability
The device comes in three color options, that include Midnight Black, Space Silver, and Crush Green. The phone is priced at EUR 399 in Europe which is roughly Rs 32,800.
The phone is already available for pre-order and the first sale will begin on May 28. For now, there is no clarity from Huawei whether the device will come to India or not. Additionally, the company listed that pre-order customers will get a Huawei FreeBuds 3i accessory for free.
